Odyssey Systems is a growing firm serving the IT needs of businesses in the Halton area. Odyssey has been serving the computer needs of Halton Hills since 2003.
All positions are based in Georgetown, ON.
We are currently looking to fill the following position/s:
IT Project Lead
Odyssey Systems has an immediate opening for an IT Project Lead.
Systems seeks persons who feel they can quickly learn, have a history of completing challenging tasks on schedule, have a "can do" attitude, and are looking for positions of responsibility. Persons selected for positions will receive training in various areas as appropriate and can draw on others within Odyssey as needed.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be well organised, and be a self-starter. All team members must work well with others and accept responsibility to see the job through to completion.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Plan / Coordinate IT projects ranging from system patches to new hardware acquisition and installation.
- Maintain documentation on IT processes.
- Coordinate process of completing an annual IT process review and audit.
- Assist in management of local and remote systems, particularly Linux servers but with limited use of Windows.
- Assist in planning / implementation / monitoring of network resources.
- Participate in on-call duty in the event of malfunctions in off hours.
- Provide support to customers when issues are escalated.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Candidate must be motivated, and work well independently.
- A degree in an applicable field and / or 3-4 years IT work experience.
- We desire someone with experience in IT operations, preferably in Linux systems.

- Candidates will also need a focus on customer service.
